Hey!
This week has been crazy so far and it is only going to get even crazier as it progresses.
STORMco stands for ‘Service To Others Really Matters’. It is a team of people who get together and help out by serving others.
During these school holidays, the Kellyville STORMco team are running a Local Kidsclub in North-Kellyville from 10am – 12pm.

Have bored kids sitting at home these school holidays? Send them to Kidsclub! 🙂 |
Yesterday was our first day and we had 74 kids rock up with smiling faces – that were soon disguised as tigers, butterflies, spiders and lots of other fancy creations at the face painting station! Thankfully the weather was beautiful and the sun was shining! 🙂
Today, we had a massive 92 kids running to Kidsclub, excited for another awesome day! Despite the cold weather and all the fog, the rain held off and we were able to still play games outside and the kids had a ball!
The kids are split up into three different colour groups depending on the age bracket they fit in to. There are three activities that the groups rotate to every twenty minutes. There is Master Chef, which obviously involves cooking some quick, tasty treats that the kids can eat during the day or if they are feeling super nice, take home to show Mum and Dad before they completely devour it.Â
Another activity is Craft, where the kids get to let their crazy imaginations wild. They have been personalising some mirrors to hang on their bedroom doors at home and made some really cool key rings today!Â
The third activity is Sport – a time where the kids just go insane. Just when you think they have no energy left…they prove you wrong. Same goes for the Games Activity Leaders The kids love to get involved and just seeing their faces with huge smiles on them makes my day.

I am so grateful to be a part of the STORMco Team! As the leader of the Registration team, I get to talk to a lot of the parents when they sign their kids in and out of Kidsclub.
A lot of the parents don’t understand why this team (majority of which are school kids) would want to take time out of their own school holidays to do something like this. Instead of hanging out with friends and watching movies all day, we are playing with little kids and organising activities. The parents didn’t seem to understand this…
OK sure…as individuals, we may not be getting paid for helping out and being a part of the STORMco Team, but you can’t put a price on seeing all these kids so happy. Even if it is just one smile, you know straight away that all this hard work is completely worth it! 🙂
Keep smiling. x
